AUDIX Handheld Wireless Microphones OM7 Editorial Review
**** The Audix OM7 Hypercardioid Handheld Dynamic Vocal Microphone has garnered largely positive feedback from musicians who prioritize audio clarity and feedback rejection for live performances. Users appreciate the microphone's ability to isolate their voice even in noisy environments, making it an excellent choice for venues where ambient noise can distract from vocal quality. Many musicians highlight the need to sing directly into the microphone for optimal sound, noting that this feature significantly enhances its noise rejection capabilities at the expense of some versatility. While the OM7 is lauded for providing a clear and loud output, particularly in challenging venues, some users point out that it requires more gain than traditional microphones, making it less ideal for quieter settings or background music scenarios. There are reports of faulty cable connectors affecting sound reliability, which has led some customers to reConsider their purchase paths to avoid similar issues in future transactions. Despite these concerns, many plan to add another OM7 to their collection due to its performance in loud environments and superior sound quality compared to other well-known models, including the Shure SM58. In summary, the Audix OM7 stands out as a professional-grade microphone for those who need precision and clarity during live singing, especially in noisy settings. **Pros and Cons:** **
