Wadities Gold & Metal Leaf Editorial Review
The Wadities Gold Leaf Gilding Adhesive Set offers a comprehensive package for those looking to add a touch of luxury to their crafts and paintings. The set includes a 100ml water-based metal leaf glue, 100ml varnish, 100 pieces of gold leaf sheets, and two brushes. According to several reviews, following the provided instructions is crucial for achieving spectacular results. Users recommend having a piece of wood and a carving tool to cut the paper as needed. Additionally, a makeup brush is suggested for applying the glue onto the desired surface. While the coverage is reported to be good, the thin and flimsy nature of the gold leaf sheets makes them difficult to manage. Some users have found the glue to be less effective, recommending alternative adhesive options. Despite some minor issues, customers generally Consider the Wadities Gold Leaf Gilding Adhesive Set to be well worth the money. It has been used successfully for various applications, including Christmas enamel work and theater props. Users mention that allowing the glue to dry fully before applying the gold leaf is crucial for the best results, and they recommend testing the adhesive's grip on a small piece of the desired surface before covering larger areas. In conclusion, the Wadities Gold Leaf Gilding Adhesive Set provides a comprehensive package for gilding crafts and paintings. While some improvements could be made to the glue's effectiveness and the manageability of the gold leaf sheets, overall, customers have found this set to be a valuable investment for achieving a metallic, luxurious effect in their artistic projects.
