Zoom Digital P8 Editorial Review
The Zoom PodTrak P8 is a feature-rich and easy-to-use audio recorder with great sound quality and built-in sounds. It records each track separately and as one track at the same time. It has more input options, more pads for a quick soundboard and a battery slot. It's slightly smaller than the Rodecaster and has top-mounted XLR inputs and a headphone out for everyone. However, it only records at 16-bit audio quality, compared to Rodecaster's 24-bit quality. The plastic build feels cheap and hollow inside, and the feet don't grip on a desk easily. The P8 has only two line-outs to PC when used as a PC mixer, whereas the Rodecaster has four. Additionally, the cons include a lack of camera audio output, and a humming sound issue.
