The Hiland RGLASS-BB Pit Fire Glass in Bahama Blend is a durable and pretty addition to a fire pit. It has an extreme temperature rating and can be used in propane or natural gas fire pits. It comes in a 10-pound bag which is enough to fill two 12-inch by 12-inch areas 2 inches deep. There were no reports of the glass turning black, except for one user who covered the vent area of their fire pit. The product is not recommended for wood burning fire pits. One user reported hearing popping sounds when the glass was new, but it stopped after a few seconds. The glass is fire rated and can be used in indoor natural gas fireplaces.
