The Lacura 38832 Molded Armrest is an armrest for wheelchairs with a rotating base for easy transferring of elderly, handicapped, and disabled patients. One customer purchased this item as a replacement armrest for their mother's wheelchair and stated that the plastic board that fastens to the chair is very solid and not cheaply made. The armrest itself appears to be of good quality and the customer's mother found it comfortable. However, another customer reported that the base broke under normal usage and snapped into two pieces. They cannot recommend this armrest until the plastic base is redesigned. Another customer mentioned that this armrest is quite a bit heavier than their previous one and keeps flipping down, and they do not recommend this item. One customer found the armrest to be a great item for supporting an arm that has been damaged by the effects of a stroke and it is made very well and easy to install.
