D.C. America Umbrella Stands & Bases UBP18181-BR Editorial Review
The DC America Cast Stone Umbrella Base is made from rust-free composite materials with a bronze powder-coated finish. It is intended for use under a table to anchor an outdoor umbrella and prevent it from being lifted and blown over in moderate winds. The base weighs 22lbs and measures 18 inches. It comes with plastic inserts to accommodate various umbrella pole sizes, including 1”, 1 1/2”, and 2”. Customers recommend using it with the plastic insert for a 1 1/2” pole, as it holds the umbrella securely. However, there are some concerns raised in the questions and answers section regarding the base's ability to support an umbrella without a table. One user reported that the 18-inch base could support a 7-foot umbrella but was unable to keep it upright, leading to it blowing over in moderate wind despite being cranked shut. Overall, the DC America Cast Stone Umbrella Base is a sturdy and well-made option for anchoring an outdoor umbrella under a table. If used without a table, customers may need to Consider a larger and heavier base to keep the umbrella secure. **
