How are these for slippery surfaces?
Answer: I have worn the canvas Palladiums for many years in all weather and conditions (the snowy winters too), and have found them to be steady and sure-footed. On a few occasions, on icy surfaces, I have caught the edge of the sole and slipped a little until the full rugged sole catches and I stopped slipping. One thing that helps is that they fit so well (and comfortably) that they are like an extension of your feet. -

Are these boot good for hiking? Is there any support issues?
Answer: Outstanding boots just purchased insoles and now they are perfect.
